The Loch-Ard was built in 1910 and is the oldest ferry in survey in Australia.  It was purpose-built as a passenger ferry and today carries up to 35 passengers plus crew on its tours.

The Loch-Ard was lovingly restored by its previous owner in 2003.  (See photos of the Loch-Ard's restoration at the bottom of this page).

The Loch-Ard's current owners, George and Pam Gibbons, acquired the business in 2006.

Captain George has received praise for his in-depth knowledge of the area and Mallacoota's history.  Commentary is provided on each cruise.

Captain George has a great amount of experience behind the wheel of a boat, having been a commercial fisherman for almost 40 years off Newcastle in New South Wales.

George and Pam have taken a step towards retirement and are enjoying Mallacoota's peace and tranquility. Come onboard the Loch-Ard and let Captain George show you the best of what Mallacoota and the Croajingolong National Park has to offer.

Be sure to put Mallacoota on your itinerary for your next holiday or weekend away.  You won't be disappointed!
